Colour Cosmic Tree
Colour Cosmic Tree is an interactive installation taking cues from an excerpt in Italo Calvino’s 1965 publication, Cosmicomics. The colourful sculpture was designed to allow visitors to sit under and view upwards for an ephemeral visual experience. Visitors are encouraged to use anaglyph 3D glasses upon viewing the installation, observing a change of yellow to blue, and red to purple.
Hollow bricks were 3D-printed with one layer of transparent PLA throughout for a tranluscent effect, letting light stream through in unexpected ways.
